Oxera has taken part in the governments kickstart scheme, a great stepping stone for young, local people to begin their career in manufacturing. The scheme, aimed at 16 - 24 year olds, provides employment for individuals whose sole income previously came from universal credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.
We are delighted to say that we have taken on six local people as part of the scheme. Oxera is fully committed to the development and training of these great young people to help them progress their careers, be that at Oxera or another company. We recognise the role we play as a business in providing opportunity to progress and develop the often underestimated talent of the local community.
